Which Companies are Selling NFTs

Virtual reality is what the modern world is all about. Today, more and more businesses are shifting to the metaverse to celebrate the wonders of NFTs. Stats reveal that the aggregated sales value of NFTs reached an estimated 36.1 million dollars in November 2022! With such high numbers, the competition is equally growing. Many big companies are bringing out innovative ways to influence the NFT world. Let’s explore in the following guide of which companies are selling NFTs in 2022!

  • Adidas

Adidas is a name that needs no explanation, especially regarding NFTs. The brand recently released its first wearable NFT collection, the “Virtual Gear.”

What’s even more mind-blowing is Adidas’s new PFP dressing tools. Buyers of NFTs are not unfamiliar with “burning” virtual clothing onto a PFP. Now, you can use the advanced PFP tools to change your NFT’s PFP outfits the same way as with standard avatars. Such features can be used in many virtual worlds like Ready Player Me versions.

According to a report in 2021, Adidas earned a revenue of $22 million NFTs by selling roughly 59,620 pairs, each priced at 0.2 ETH (estimated at $765 at that time). With such higher data, Adidas is becoming one of the world’s leading names in selling NFTs.

  • Shopify

The multinational e-commerce company Shopify is another popular name emerging in the NFT world thanks to its constant support for NFTs. The company launched its NFT Beta program in 2021, allowing users to mint and sell NFTs on their Shopify stores.

In fact, creating a Shopify store these days for selling NFTs is just as easy as selling any other product. However, you must qualify for a few terms to join the Beta program for NFTs. You can contact any of Shopify’s blockchain app partners to enable NFT features on your Shopify store.

The process of trading NFT is simple: customers add their desired NFT to the cart and pay with any of the supported payment methods (credit cards or supported cryptocurrency). An email is sent to the customer to connect their crypto, and then the customer can mint the NFT straight to their wallet.

  • McDonald’s

Love a Happy Meal? How about Happy NFTs?

McDonald’s is long-known in today’s world for its interest in virtual reality and NFTs. The company celebrated its first-ever non-fungible token in 2021 when it gave a bunch of NFTS to its fans and customers in celebration of McRib’s 40th anniversary.

These NFTs were described as the “digital versions of the fan favorite sandwich” (McRib). This collaboration between the virtual and real world is the gateway to a promising future. Soon, customers will be able to order their favorite meals in the metaverse and have the actual food delivered to their doorstep.

The year 2022 saw a rise in the company’s shift towards virtual reality when McDonald’s collaborated with Humberto Leon to celebrate the Chinese New Year but in the metaverse. The collaboration resulted in a zodiac animal design collection that fans could observe in McDonald’s gallery hosting Leon’s work in AltspaceVR and Spatial.

  • Coca Cola

Coca-Cola is another big name in companies selling NFTs in 2022. It started in 2021 when the beverage company launched its first NFT collection. A series of four non-fungible tokens sold as a single asset at Special Olympics International made a significant impact in the NFT world.

Later, Coca-Cola came back with a fantastic step toward virtual reality when it launched a series of 136 NTFs in July 2022 to honor Pride Month. It was followed by releasing another set of NFTs in August 2022 to commemorate International Friendship Day!

  • Samsung

No one can overlook Samsung when it comes to innovation. The company has made claims about an ArtToken NFT TV app advertised for a few days at IFA 2022. The goal behind such a project is to promote the growth of NFT and expose it to a larger audience.

However, this isn’t the first time Samsung has thought about NFTs! Apart from this, the company has collaborated with Nifty Gateway to step up its game in virtual reality.

The integration of Nifty’s NFT platform with Samsung’s 2022 QLED and Neo QLED premium TVs was revealed earlier this year. The business has released a stand-alone app for Samsung MicroLED TVs and The Frame.

Soon, you’ll be able to sell, buy, and hold NFTs through your Samsung TV. It will help people enjoy better interaction with decentralized currencies by linking with a portal to sell and purchase artwork.

  • Nike

Nike is one of the top fashion brands to influence the world of NFTs. It made its first appearance in the world of digital currencies with the launch of “Nikeland.” This free immersive sports space resulted from Nike’s collaboration with Roblox.

Yet, the most profitable endeavor they have made is “CryptoKick.” This project, launched in April 2022 in collaboration with RTFKT, profited up to an estimated $185 million!

Moreover, CryptoKicks is a whole catalog of virtual sneakers, including 20,000 NFTs. This collection also included one designed by designer Takashi Murakami, which was sold for $134,000. It’s a way of bringing the fashion industry up in the metaverse.

  • Formula 1

Formula 1, F1, has been in the race for digital currencies since 2019. Sadly, the F1 Delta Time, an official NFT and cryptocurrency-powered racing game that debuted in 2019, shut its doors last month.

However, that was not the F1’s previous attempt on the NFT platform. It has given its audience many alternatives within the F1 industry where they can make a profitable investment in decentralized currencies.

Ferrari’s CEO, Benedetto Vigno, made a statement about contributing to the world of blockchain and NFT at the beginning of 2022. In addition to this, through its collaboration with Socios, Alfa Romeo issued a highly limited edition NFT to holders of its fan tokens at the Brazilian Grand Prix last year, which caused the value of the team’s coins to skyrocket. This is the last one on the list of which companies are selling NFTs.
